The IX UNPO General Assembly was organised at the European Parliament with full attendance of UNPO Members and delegates from all over the world.

The work of the General Assembly has been introduced by Member of the European Parliament and leader of the Nonviolent Radical Party Mr. Marco Pannella. Furthermore two substantial reports on Gandhian nonviolent civil resistance and diverse forms of regional autonomy and federalism were presented. These reports by Ledum Mitee Esq., President of the UNPO General Assembly, and Mr. van Walt van Praag, provided background information on the concepts, including references to key thematic research.

West Balochistan represented by Nasser Bolaidi and Abdullah Jamalzhai where West Balochistan contributed to discussion of the new political common vision of the UNPO organization and presented two resolutions; one Member Resolution Condemning the repression and persecution of Baloch in Iran; and a Joint Resolution with Ahwazi Arabs, Azeri Turks and Kurds nation-members of UNPO.

The IX UNPO General Assembly also welcomed East Balochistan as a new member of UNPO, East Balochistan represented by Noordin Mengal, also delegates from Ahwaz, South Azerbaijan, Kurdistan and Sindh attended the General Assembly.

The final day began with adoption of UNPO Member resolutions and election of UNPO Presidency where West Balochistan become a member of new UNPO Presidency.
