Attempt on the life
of Abdul Malik Rigi Baluch failed
09-06-2007
London, 8 May 07--An assassination attempt on the life of Abdul Malik Rigi
Baluch, the leader of the People's Resistance Movement of Iran (former
Jondollah) failed, a statement by this movement disclosed today. The
statement did not disclose the date and the place of assassination for
security reasons.
Four members of Abdul Malik's security guards were slightly wounded in this
event. In another event that may not be related to the assassination
attempt, two members of Rigi tribe were killed near Zahedan, Baluchistan.
Their relatives claimed that they were farmers and they were working in
their farms when they were shot dead by the Iranian security forces. Their
bodies were transferred to the hospital against the wishes of their
relatives. Their relatives added they had no any relationship with the
Baluch militants.
People Resistance Movement of Iran claimed that it has launched a series of
military operations in Iranian Baluchistan to deter the Iranian regime from
arbitrarily arresting and executing innocent people. The latest
confrontation between this organization and the Iranian security forces
happened 3 weeks ago when the Iranian elite Revolutionary Guards attacked
one of their camps in Sarawan, Baluchistan. Seven revolutionary guards were
killed in this incident.
The group claimed that the Iranian regime has sent several terrorist groups
to the assassinate Abdul Malik, their 24 year old leader. He has been the
target of Iranian Regime’s terror groups several times.
Abdul Malik has been interviewed regularly by many Iranian and foreign radio
and televisions. In an interview with the voice of America, he defended his
military actions as self-defence and claimed that the Iranian regime has
killed thousands of Baluch and nobody raised any objection towards the
massacre of Baluch people.
In another interview with Channel One which is based in America he claimed
that he started his armed struggle against Iranian regime after he saw that
the whole world and all international organizations and human rights
activists kept silent about the ethnic cleansing of Baluch people and mass
arrests and killings. He said that his initial political activities began in
a peaceful and civil strategy approach but his friends were arrested and
executed. He and the relatives of the arrested friends complained to the
Iranian authorities but they did not get any response. He claimed that in
desperation, when nobody defended the innocent Baluch people, he began armed
struggle as a means to attract the attention of the world towards systematic
repression, arbitrary arrests and executions of Baluch people.
The Amnesty International confirmed that 700 Baluch people have received
death sentences from Iranian Supreme Court and they are awaiting execution.
In spite of Amnesty International's appeal for the saving of a 17 year old
child, the Iranian regime executed Said Qambarzahi few days ago. Amnesty
International released another appeal on 7 June and condemned his execution
and appealed to all international organizations and governments to
pressurise Iranian regime to stop the execution of condemned-to-death-
Baluch people.
In his interview with the voice of America Abdul Malik claimed that he would
abandon armed struggle and engage in civil campaign if the Iranian regime
allowed civil campaigning in Baluchistan. Yacob Mehrnehad, the leader of the
Voice of Justice in Baluchistan, was recently arrested for organising a
meeting which was licensed by the Iranian regime. Even though this meeting
did not raise any objection against the regime, the security forces raided
his offices and arrested him. Nobody knows what has happened to him since
then. This incident convinced all Baluch people that the Iranian regime does
not allow peaceful and civil campaigning in Balochistan and therefore, there
is no any other choice for the Baluch people but to defend themselves with
the same strategy that the Iranian regime uses against them.
Abdul Malik's interview with the voice of America generated widespread
controversy and mixed reactions among the Iranian public. The Iranian regime
condemned the interview and the Iranian people praised the voice America for
interviewing somebody who is boldly resisting the tyrannies of Iranian
regime.
Abdul Malik claims that he is campaigning for a democratic system in Iran in
which all different nationalities and peoples have equal rights. The Iranian
regime portrays him as a terrorist and a large number of Iranian people
admire him as a hero who has the ability to confront a regime that has
intimidated not only the Iranian people but the whole world.

A WARNING TO THE
ISLAMIC REPUBLIC:
NO RESULT CAN BE ACHIEVED THROUGH TORTURING TURKMEN INTELLECTUALS AND
ACTIVISTS
15-06-2007
Abdol Rahman Dieji, the owner and Director of the Sahra Newspaper, which is
published in Turkmen language, was harshly beaten on June 3, 2007 (Sunday)
in Gorgan by unidentified individuals. Thanks to God that the attackers
could not be able succeed in their aim, which was to silence the Turkmens
and that Dieji survived this attack. The identities of those who attacked
the Director of the Sahra Newspaper are not new to us! The intelligence and
law enforcement officers of the Islamic Republic could not endure seeing the
Sahra Newspaper, which is the voice of the Turkmens. The leading figures of
the Sahra Newspaper were under constant control of the Islamic Republic
regime for expressing the desire of the Turkmens and have repeatedly been
called by the courts of the regime. The Director of the Sahra was subject to
various forms of torment and oppression and now they are trying to destroy
Abdol Rahman Dieji physically. He is the one who published the first
officially-permitted newspaper of the Turkmensahra and Golestan Province.
Which institution except the Intelligence Ministry and the Law Enforcement
could beat a Turkmen activist during daytime in the city center and later
disappear without encountering any difficulty?
The Turkmensahra Liberation Organization has previously warned about a
possible outbreak of a series of murders (this time against the
intellectuals of ethnic groups). Taking the incidents in Ahwaz, Turkmensahra
and Baluchestan into consideration, the claims regarding that a series of
murders against the authors, intellectuals and activists of the nations will
begin to be carried out by the Intelligence Ministry of the regime, have
intensified.
By brutally beating up the Director of the Sahra Newspaper, the regime wants
to convey a message to the Turkmen nation. The message is this: “Any kind of
legal activity of the Turkmen nation will be welcomed by violence,
intimidation, beating and even murder.” But this message will not make the
Turkmen nation give up demanding their rights; just on the contrary, it will
contribute to the awakening of this nation.
The Sahra Newspaper is the legal newspaper of the Turkmens and it works as a
mouthpiece of the Turkmens in portraying their own will by complying to the
laws of the Islamic Republic. But now the regime cannot even stand the only
newspaper of the 2,5 million Turkmens. This means that “the Islamic Republic
does not grant any rights to the Turkmen nation”.
If Abdol Rahman Dieji faces another incident, the Islamic Republic will be
responsible for this. The regime should not think that it could control the
wave caused by the desire of the nations and especially the desire of the
Turkmen nation for freedom through such activities. Today, either Turkmen,
Turkish Azeri, Baluchi or Arab, all the nations are backing each other.
Therefore any incident against Abdol Rahman Dieji, Turkmen author and
intellectual, would have serious repercussions on the Islamic Republic. As a
matter of fact, the activities carried out by the regime against the
activists of other nations have only contributed to the further degradation
of this regime.
We invite all the human rights and press organizations to condemn this
incident. The Islamic Republic should be aware of the fact that the reaction
of the Turkmen nation against any such incident towards either Abdol Rahman
Deiji or any other Turkmen intellectual, will be massive. It should be kept
in mind that the tranquility of the ocean is the messenger of a great storm.

Iranian opposition
groups based in Norway met Norwegian Parliamentary Committee for Foreign
Affairs
Oslo, June 15, 2007 -- Iranian opposition’s Balochs, Kurds, Arabs and Azeri
groups based in Norway met Norwegian Parliamentary Committee for Foreign
Affairs this week. The meeting took place at the threshold of upcoming visit
of the committee to Iran. The committee has been invited by Iranian
Parliament.
The groups accusing Iranian government for depriving them from their basic
rights called for international awareness on the issue.
In the meeting, Mr. Ehsan Arjemandi of Greater Balochistan Lebration
Organisation (BLO) spoke behalf of other participants. He claimed that today
these nations are not allowed to get education in their maternal tong.
He further alleged that none of Iranian political parties has accepted the
rights of the ‘’suppressed’’ nations, even Peoples Mujahedin, nor NCR, nor
royalists, nor leftists accept these nations’ rights. Iranian government is
trying to assimilate other nations. One of the ways they do it is to
establish Persian settlements in Kurdistan, Ahwaz, Balochistan and
Azerbaijan. Mr. Aref Ahmadi and Mr Salah on behalf of Kurds, Ehsan Arjemandi
on the behalf of Balochistan, Mr.Abu Abdel and Mr.Abu Ali on the behalf of
Ahwaz and Dr.Asad on the behalf of Azerbaijan attended the meeting.

Another Baloch has
been kidnapped
20-06-2006
Sherdil Khan, the grandson of late Prince
Abdul Karim Khan Baloch, has been kidnapped by Pakistani secret agencies
from Khuzdar in early June 2007(exact date is not confirmed). Sherdil Khan
went to Khuzdar from
Kalat in a family matter but their, in Khuzdar, he was kidnapped from a
restaurant. He is an innocent man and
runs a Cattle Farm in Kalat. His location is unknown to every body including
his family, and there are reports circulating in Kalat that he has been
tortured severely by secret agencies to extract false information from him.
No one knows why he had been kidnapped, he is a close relative of Khan
Suleman Daoud Khan, the Khan of Kalat, that’s why he had been arrested? or
just being a Baloch? His relatives fear that he might be killed in custody,
because many Balochs who had been arrested previously by Pakistani secret
agencies had not returned to their homes.
An appeal to all human rights organizations;
to save the lives of all missing Baloch people, presently there are up to
six thousand Balochs who are being detained by Pakistani agencies in eastern
Balochistan.
Date
18-June-2007.
