People's Resistance Movement of Iran letter to UN Security Council to stop Iranian regime's missile testing in Balochistan

17-03-2007

To:

The United Nations Security Council, Human Rights Organisations and International Community

Subject: Seeking diplomatic help to stop missile testing of the Iranian regime in Balochistan province, Iran.

People's Resistance Movement of Iran requests international community to take an immediate measure to prevent the massive testing missiles (Shahab2 & Shahab3 ) by the Iranian regime in the eastern and southern parts of Balochistan (Iran) , Ziarat and Kooh-espit (Kooh-sefid) areas in Saravan City devision and Dashtiari and Baho-kalat areas in Chabahar City division .

Since 2004 the Iranian regime has been engaged in testing of various types of missiles in this region . During the last few months approximately more than twenty missiles dropped in to the areas that had been fired from unknown locations.

The Iranian regime attempts to evacuate and displace the villagers , but due to its inability to identify the exact point, all of its identifications have gone wrong. Therefore it has become a routine that authorities evacuate village A while the missile hit the village B. In some cases it has caused casualties too.

The majority of the people in these areas are farmers in profession. They are very disturbed , and the situation is so that they keep their baggage packed all the time.

Recently this suspicion is circulating that some of these missiles have been equipped with dangerous material heads . However the illiterate and in the dark people of the areas are not in a position to confirm and protest against that , as it would be considered as an act against the security of the country.

The region has deliberately been selected for these kinds of wrongdoings because of lack of awareness among the people . Keeping in mind that, there are vast deserts in the other parts of Iran , no logical and rational reasons could be found why the regime has chosen these specific areas , which are fertile and populated areas except as an attempt of genocide of Baloch people.

In the light of the above, we request your respected institutions to put diplomatic pressure on the Iranian regime to stop these destructive operations and establish a board of inquiry to assess what kind of weapons which have been testing in the areas since last three years. We are making this request with the hope that human rights and related international laws are still existed and being respected in the human society.

We look for urgent intervention into this matter .

Press release from demonstration in Oslo Norway, by the Baloch community in Norway against Pakistani-Irani regime....

15-04-2007

The fifth operation against the Baloch by the Pakistani security forces has already been launched with fighter jets, gunship helicopters, heavy artillery and military hard wares. During the military operation, the Baloch people have been subjected to severe human rights violations ranging from enforced disappearances, torture, mass killings, target killings, illegal detention of civil and political activists

In March 2007, a full-fledged military operation was launched in Tump-Mand and Mashkay areas of  Balochistan. Only during the month of March, more than 50 Baloch were killed and about 100 were disappeared or are being detained by the security agencies. Furthermore, more than 20000 people have been displaced. During the last five years of military operation, according to human rights organizations, more than 6000 people have been disappeared, 10000 killed and
about 140000 displaced. On the other hand, Iranian regime has also started a military operation against the Baloch of the Iranian Occupied Balochistan. After the bomb blast in Zahidan, reportedly by a shadowy organization known as Jundullah, which killed more than 40 personnel of the Revolutionary guards, hundreds of Baloch have been arrested. Some of them were later publicly hanged by the Iranian regime. According to reports, some 850 Baloch are in the custody of Iranian security agencies who have already been condemned to be hanged. Furthermore, Iranian regime has built a wall on its border with Pakistan dividing the Baloch people.

Pakistan and Iran have joined hands to suppress the Baloch. Military campaign at Tump-Mand area was launched by both the regimes in collaboration. Both the regimes have also started a search operation in Makkuran area and have arrested several innocent Baloch. Baloch Unity Conference Norway shows its grave concern over the excesses of Pakistani and Iranian regimes against the Baloch nation. BUC Norway appeals to the United Nations and the civilized countries of the world to immediately intervene into the matter and stop the acts of state terrorism by both the aforementioned regimes against the Baloch people. Baloch Unity Conference Norway strongly proposes that a fact finding mission should be established by the United Nations to visit the restive region of Balochistan.

IRAN: CONCERN AS ITALY BLOCKS BANK'S ASSETS

Rome, 30 March (AKI) - The decision by Italy's central bank to take effective control of the Rome branch of Sepah, an Iranian bank linked to Tehran's armed forces, has been greeted with indifference by Iranian authorities but concern in the country's business circles. For the economy minister Davoud Danesh Jaafari "everything was taken into account" and "these resolutions (UN Security Council resolutions 1737 and 1747) will not impact on the economy."
"Already after the approval of 1737 in December we found ourselves in very difficult circumstances due to the growing restrictions of European financial institutions" merchant Parwiz N., who has commercial ties with Italy, told Adnkronos International (AKI).

"The Italian banks have for some time now not accepted bank guarantees from the financial institutions of Iran and more and more often we have to use third country banks for our dealings with Italian companies" he complained.

"Using a bank from a third country not only takes more time but involves a significant increase in costs which vary from five to ten percent of the global value of the transaction."

"In recent months my relations with Italian firms and businessmen have become more complex and even people I have been dealing with for years are now reluctant to clinch deals with we Iranians:" he said.

Parwiz N. explained that to get around the difficulties caused by the international isolation of the Islamic Republic and the diffidence which has arisen since the United Nations Security Council resolution was passed, they have had to set up companies in neighbouring Dubai, involving a businessman from the United Arab Emirates.

Like many other Iranian entrepreneurs, Parwiz N. does not endorse the nuclear policy of the government of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and hopes in a change, though doubts this will happen in the short term.

The Sepah Bank whose Italian branch's assets have been frozen Italy's Central Bank was founded in 1925 as the cooperative bank of the Iranian armed forces. Today it boasts 1,700 branches in Iran and a dozen abroad, has become one of the most powerful financial institutions in the Islamic Republic. It also has a related group Sepah International, based in London.

It is particularly active in international transactions and for this reason was included in the list of Iranian companies subject to sanctions.

Most institutions in the Islamic Republic, especially military ones for their historic connection with this bank, have used Sepah's services for international transactions.

TURKMEN TERRITORIES CONTINUE TO BE SEIZED

TURKMENSAHRA LIBERATION ORGANIZATION
23-04-2007

The Islamic Republic has been attempting to change the national identity of Turkmensahra for many years. Turkmen nation have understood that it cannot come to terms with the regime of the Islamic Republic throughout the history, due to its inhuman and reactionary identity. This regime have chosen the way of preventing the advance of Turkmen people by way of forcefully seizing their lands.
Turkmen people opposed to the Islamic Republic right from the outset and fought this regime. And the Islamic Republic resorted to a variety of methods to suppress this nation and seized their most important rights. The regime has been showing its antagonism against this nation through its aggressions directed against Turkmen culture and civilization and by changing Turkmen names with Farsi ones of geographical places. Azeri Turks also have their share of the same practices.

The prohibition on giving Turkish names to Turkmen children, sectarian limitations, lack of education in Turkmen language and restrictions on publication of books in Turkmen language constitutes some of the practices aiming to decimate Turkmens carried out by this regime which is an adversary of human rights.
Furthermore, the Islamic Republic maintain another perilous policy in Turkmensahra. This policy is to change demographic structure of Turkmensahra and to seize the lands of Turkmen nation. A nation which has a settlement history longer than a thousand years…A nation whose existence in this region cannot be denied…
Also, finding a job in Turkmensahra has become impossible for Turkmens. Many Turkmens entered universities to gird themselves with scientific studies and to raise their level of knowledge. But, finding a reasonable job has become a dream for local people in Turkmensahra. The same situation has also arisen as an issue concerning Baluchs, Arabs and lastly Azeri Turks.

Lots of jobs are occupied by migrant Persian and Sistani people who have no connection with Turkmens neither in terms of language nor religion. Therefore, lots of educated Turkmens leave their homeland just for a mouthful of food and they pursue jobs in other cities or even countries. These individuals work in the farthest cities of Iran and even in foreign countries like Turkey and Greece with the worst working conditions.

Additionally, the Islamic Republic has been taking a great part of agricultural lands and pastures from Turkmens by force of arms and it has been offering these lands to Sistani (Zabouli) people to be used by them for free, with an aim to annihilate Turkmen people. The lands of the ancestors of Turkmen people are forcefully being taken from their hands and every lamentation is being suppressed at the moment it is uttered. Since the inception of the regime of the Islamic Republic, about 200 Zabouli villages have been established in the lands of the ancestors of Turkmens. The rulers are trying to upset the demographic structure of Turkmensahra by encouraging the increase of Zabouli population. Public protest in Okhi Tappeh village in Gonbad-e Kavoos was held to prevent the seizure of 50 hectares of land belonging to this village and this event is the illustration of the latest murders of the regime. A lot of Turkmen women and children were injured with the bullets of regime officers. The officers of the Islamic Republic who refer to Islam and Koran did not even show mercy for the Imam of Friday Sermons and for muezzins and injured them with bullets. The Islamic Republic demonstrated its enmity to Turkmen nation clearly also after these murders and it astonishingly imposed penalties of imprisonment, corporal punishment – whipping – and fines on 30 villagers. These convicts even include members of village council.

On the other hand, we receive news that the regime is laying the foundations of bigger treacheries. The lands on the frontier are given to institutions such as Revolutionary Guards, Moustazaphun Foundation and Alewite Foundation and in this way the connection between Turkmensahra and the Republic of Turkmenistan are being tried to completely cut off.
This project has been carried out for 8 years. In the first phase, agricultural lands of 15 km. width extending from the north of Gomishan to the Turkmenistan border were seized under the pretext of shrimp production and these lands were given to those who are not of Turkmen origin. Later, The Agency of Natural Resources announced that 50 thousand hectares of land extending from Gomishan village to Aq Qala were nationalized and it removed the right of ownership from Turkmen farmers. These lands are legal inheritances of these farmers from their ancestors.

Regime officers who were afraid that Turkmens would show reaction started to banish these farmers. However, they announced to farmers from Bandar-e Turkmen, Gomishan, Grand Qalachek, Little Qalachek, Qallapost, Altin Tokhmaq, Golmas and other districts that these lands were the property of Alewite Foundation.
The regime is trying to divide Turkmens of the North (Turkmenistan) from Turkmens of the South (Turkmensahra) by seizing the lands of Turkmensahra. Later, certainly it will be the turn of the lands to the north of Gonbad-e Kavoos, Kalaleh and Maraveh Tappeh.

We demand all fighter and liberalistic institutions to condemn these racist and tyrannical attitudes of the Islamic Republic and give support to Turkmen people.

The Islamic Republic regime should know that Turkmens will under no condition surrender their ancestors’ lands to foreigners and they will resist the oppression of the rulers at the price of their lives.
The day will come when this nation will question the rulers and take back the extorted Turkmen lands. The day will come when Turkmen people will reply to murders of the reactionary Islamic Republic regime. That day will absolutely come. Because, a country can be ruled by unbelievers, but never by tyrants.
