Your recent visit (13 and 14 November 2006) to Balochistan province
Your Excellencies,
I am writing on behalf of the Balochistan People’s Party (BPP), a
liberal Democratic Party, struggling to achieve sovereignty for the
Baloch people within a secular, federal, and democratic republic in
Iran, to present our deepest concern regarding false presentation of
“war on drugs” case from Iranian authorities to the MINI DUBLIN GROUP
in Balochistan.
It is an obvious fact that Balochistan province partially bordering
with Afghanistan which is less than one third (1\3) of the long Iran
and Afghanistan borders being used as drug traffickers transitional
route.
Ironically Iranian regime never try to bring such a high profile
envoys to the rest of its long “Khorasan borders” but presents the
“Balochistan border” as the case of “war on drugs”.
We strongly believe that the Iranian regime is falsely prosecuting
Members of the Baloch Community, accusing them specifically of drug
trafficking, in order to justify the executions by hanging and
shooting to kill of Baloch nation’s nationalist resistance forces.
The Iranian regime covering the cost of its oppression against Sunni
Baloch, cleverly by obtaining sympathy and funds from the foreign
governments under the help of “war on drugs”.
Since the Presidency of Mr. Ahmadinejad, the human rights violations,
collective punishment of Baloch civilians and increased militarization
of Baloch areas, has led to the intensification of Baloch peoples’
armed resistance against the Iranian regime.
Hence the regime is accusing Baloch resistance on the bogus charges of
drug traffickers, being “spoilers of the society”, “enmity to god”,
trouble instigating, and counter revolution whose blood can be
spilled.
Unfortunately this
regime is quite successful in spreading the above propaganda and
obtaining funds and sympathy from foreign governments to continue
human right violations by killing Baloch people on the pretext of “war
on drugs”.
On behalf of the Baloch people in Iran, BPP kindly urges you; to raise
the above issue with the Tehran authorities and ask for an
international fact finding delegates investigation on hanged Baloch
accused of drug trafficking just for the past two months.
I hope Your Excellencies give due consideration to the appeal and
request contained in this communication.
Yours sincerely,
Nasser Boladai
Spokesperson, Balochistan Peoples Party
